SCCA FB rules mandate minimum side impact protection and they give us three choices.....060 6060-T6 Aluminum, 18-Gauge Steel, or two layers of 5 oz. Kevlar. We've made the choice to go with the aluminum option for now, but are exploring the use of Kevlar in the body as well.
